I found badge holders with lanyards at JoAnn in the teacher's section. They were $6 for a pack of 12. Even better with a coupon, of course. They come with cardboard inserts that can be written on or decorated. I printed out my designs and glued them to the cardboard and slipped them in the holders. Very easy and I think they look great.
We are Brownies this year, so I grabbed some Brownie badge images from the badge explorer page, and added the kaper names I wanted. We've decided to do proper flag ceremonies at our meetings this year, so I have a number of badges for that. All of our girls will be responsible for cleaning up, so I just have an inspector to make sure everything looks great before we leave.
I included the flag ceremony commands, Girl Scout promise, and Girl Scout law on the back of the corresponding badges. That way, the girls will have a handy reference if they forget the words.

Awesome Idea Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI love how you took my idea and made it even better! I think I may put the info the girls need to remember on the back of our kaper badges.
